Master + Johnson are experimental punk at its most inventive and interesting. They write cryptic masterpieces in weird periods of time, ranging from 30 seconds to 7 minutes. Neil Gregerson lends some off-key and mind shattering guitar bits that leave you in complete shivers or collecting cut up bath-towel bits thrown through a wood chipper on Jupiter. Nick Lumpart adds a steady quality of drums to the unstructured/structured noisiness of Gregerson’s bitter and platonic shredded up guitar sound.
